Bright and early this morning, we headed to Gilcrease Orchard.
Gilcrease Orchard is located in the north end of Las Vegas. The orchard spans over 50 acres, with more than 6000 apple, pear and peach trees. In the summer a variety of vegetables, including tomatoes, pumpkin, cucumber and squash are grown. It is a great place for the kids to roam and we were anticipating rows and rows of pumpkins, squash, and apples. Instead of a bountiful harvest, we ended up with 3 very small tomatoes and an even smaller green bell pepper.

We even found some eggplant at the orchard. After having breakfast at Mimi's Cafe, we headed to the Pumpkin "Patch", complete with petting zoo and carnival rides!

Mason was NOT amused with the pumpkins. Every time we set him down by anything orange, he started crying. Mackenzie kept choosing pumpkins bigger than her. We ended up picking 2 pumpkins for carving on Thursday. Stay tuned for those pics!
